Are canvas covered rubber inner tubes allowed in the ocean @ Surfside? I know that the plastic ones are not permitted. Please advise...

Only if they have a rope all around, like the canvas rafts.

Thank you for the info! One more question...who sells that type of inner tube locally? We are frequent Surfside vacationers from Ohio and cannot find them up north.

I can't say I have ever seen a canvas covered inner tube here, they are usually used for snow tubing and or water-rafting and do not have a rope all around, just a couple of handle straps.
