Post subject:  night life for older folks

We have never went out any place at nite, and we've been coming to MB for years. We've always wanted to. We are not drinkers. We will have a glass of wine or one something else, but that is it. We enjoy piano playing, quiet places, none smoking places, etc. we would love to go somewhere without the crowds, but with piano.. where we could simply have a glass of wine and relax and listen to someone play a piano. Is there such a place, or are we dreaming? We're in our 70's.. a young 70's, but ???

The Sheraton (Convention Center) has a very nice bar. I like it because it is more "big city" than "beachy." They used to have live music, but I don't see it on the web page, so you would need to call and ask. There's a picture of the M Bar here:

Eighty Eight's Piano Bar, located inside Rossi's. It is quite popular with the older crowd. You can find reviews on TripAdvisor.

Twelve in Garden City has a very nice bar/happy hour (but not piano bar)

I'm not suggesting the Marshwalk restaurants or Broadway at the Beach nightlife since you specified quiet, but hopefully others will have more suggestions.
