I remember when the cafeterias were the "go to" spots in myrtle beach. If you waited to late to go eat then be ready for extremely long lines.

The crab house used to be a yearly stop for us.

Include us in for the Crab House every year!!! I really miss that place for some reason. Great food and service.

Anyone remember the Outrigger in North Myrtle. My dad used to drag us there every year

We were frequent visitors to the Outrigger.

I remember the Outigger itself but not sure if we ever ate there when I grew up.

Was it Barefoot Landing that had the Ghirardelli Chocolate Store?? You could get ice cream sundaes with Ghirardelli fudge and a Ghirardelli square on top. I think the Wife and I got to enjoy this of one year and then it was gone???

I did secret shopping for the BF Landing's Ghirardelli Chocolate Store. They paid something like $10, then you had to purchase (and keep) about $35. worth of items from the store. It was one of my favorite secret shops, and I was sorry when they closed. There were almost always people in and out , but my guess is they did not make enough money to stay. I think they were there about 2 years.

I probably should not admit this, but there was one vacation we went to Ghirardelli for ice cream everyday. The servings were huge and we did share, but still. I for one certainly miss Ghirardelli.

Am I totally out of it .. but is the corkscrew roller coaster not in service anywhere now? I briefly looked yesterday to show my granddaughter and couldn't find anything. We found a few youtube clips but couldn't find if it was still in service!

I believe the corkscrew was sold to some Mexicans who then hauled it home.

Found this youtube of the corkscrew...and if look at the right hand side, you'll see more videos of MB history.

I know we aren't going back that far, but the NASCAR Cafe. I used to always love going to that place. It was usually our first stop as soon as we got into town. NASCAR was something I was super into growing up.

Patrish that is the one we watched the other day .. but I sat here and watched the farewell..which I had seen before and cried! So sad that the memories that we had growing up and going to the Pavilion our grand kids won't .. but they need to make their own memories!!

Last summer all my granddaughter could say was she wanted to ride the twist and shout and Family Kingdom and she did and the look on her face was priceless .. she said it was fun but jerked her a lot. When she got off she took her poppy to a much smaller slower ride! LOL Now she is ready to ride the Swamp Fox because her brothers did last year.

Gotta love making memories!!

Hang onto those t-shirts. You could make a fortune on ebay one of these days!

I used to have one of the white ones. Knowing my mom, she probably has it boxed up out in a building at her house.

NASCAR Cafe...I remember when it opened. The food was good back then..great menu and food.... and of course all the NASCAR memorabilia. Alabama Restaurant opened (and later it became Phillips.) I can remember eating in NASCAR and the waiter telling us they wanted to "Beat Alabama" (the restaurant) so they kept track of the number of cars in Alabama's parking lot.

Do you remember what occupied the NASCAR space before NASCAR purchased it? We were trying to think of it but can't remember.
