We did a hotel reservation early for the MotoGP at Indy. Needless to say my brother forgot that he made a 3 night reservation when it came time to put in for time off at work. I looked today online and the place is full on Saturday night and I can't change the booking online. It also mentions about the rates not being available.

If I call the hotel do you think they will change it for me and won't mess it up? I'm worried about getting bumped and having no place to stay. Especially since we got a much cheaper rate then what they are even offering for Thursday and Friday. Can only imagine what they charged for Saturday!

I booked a night short once. I called the front desk and asked if they could do anything. They gave me an extra night.

Definitely call.... and make sure you are talking to someone at the hotel and not some corporate office or out-sourced "reservations center". The folks onsite will typically be much more accommodating than those sitting in a call-center. If you get connected to someone offsite, ask to to be transferred to the front-desk of the hotel itself.

My wife uses this strategy frequently as our travel plans constantly change. Works very well.

Good Luck !

Thanks for the replies. We are calling the Hotel directly (Good idea Kirk!) on Monday and will let you all know how it goes. Hopefully we get a very nice and help employee like bud did.
