This must be Hot Tuesday. I saw the forecast for Myrtle Beach today was a high of 98, and it's supposed to be 111 here . We have been in MB when the temp was in the 90's and know how bad that is. It's going to gruesome in both places, but I think it will be worse in Myrtle Beach due to the humidity. Stay cool everyone!

Thanks, AZ! I have moved plants into the shade and I've been changing water in the birdbaths 2 or 3 times a day just to keep their drinking/bathing water from getting to hot to use. I really prefer heat to cold, but I'll be glad when this heatwave passes by.

It has been humid up here in PA so I assume this system is making its way down south. We were in the 80's, very humid, and lots of pop up storms the last few days.

Doing an 11 1/2 mile kayak float this Saturday. 400 plus yaks expected to show up.
One short stretch of shoals gives us one little bit of fast water...........if there's enough water. If we don't get rain this week we will be getting out and dragging boats across the shoals. We need about another foot of water in the river.

Back many years ago I was a Boy Scout. Not a great one. Camping hiking swimming I was there. Reading a book for a merit badge.....Not so much. I did get to go to the Scout Ranch in New Mexico. Not a lot of rain there so they made a big deal about not cursing Kohuna, the Indian rain god.
Being 13-14 year old boys we did it every day and every day we had an hour or so of rain. (Dried out within minutes)

No rain in forecast this week. Just heat and humidity. Yesterday just for fun I cursed Kohuna. It rained late afternoon.
Today I cursed Kohuna. It poured the rain coming home. Flash flood warnings.......

Ooooops!!!!!!

We sure have needed the rain just southwest of you here in VA. A pretty good front is rolling through here at he moment again. Hate the event was cancelled on you though.
