OK...more than cold FREEZING...I do not handle the change in seasons from warm to cooler very well! It was 65 today,,,not that cold but it is only Sept.13! Last night around 4am...the house was 60 degrees...I could not sleep...so I turned the furnace on ...ran it until the house temp was 70...that felt much better! First day of wearing a hoodie most of the day...I did warm up while at the gym...but it did not last long...anyone else have a difficult time with the change in seasonal temps? Terry just laughs as I sit around in my sweats and he is in shorts and a t-shirt! :tongue3:

I welcome the milder weather strictly for our Friday night visits to Cedar Point's Halloweekends. After that, give me 80 and humid every day!! Oh and our furnace will NOT come on until mid October.

Well...we do have one small advantage to running the furnace...we have free gas due to a small well drilled on our property...not a great producing one but good enough for free gas and about $10 a month royalty...worth its weight in gold!
Before the well was drilled we had an oil furnace and a woodburner...the oil was pricey and the wood was a lot of work! So I do understand the no furnace until Oct...we were that way too a few years ago...

You know, I usually don't have a problem - I love fall, crisp weather, apple cider, good nights sleep snugged under covers, etc. But this year -- bah humbug...I am depressed already! dang...it was a short, cold summer...after a L.O.N.G horrible winter...and another bad winter expected this year. Friday night by 6pm I was in a hot bubble bath with a cold beer. lol I am totally in a funk the past week and it's horrible! We had grey, rainy weather all week and I'd just had it by then. I'm even taking Vit D supplements and it just ain't cutting it this year. So looking forward to a week in SC next month, I'm just hoping for some warm, sunny days! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

I sure hope you get your warmer weather for vacation! It was an awful winter...followed but a not so great summer... weather wise...I, too, have heard the winter will be snowier than normal...I figure I will have cabin fever by the middle of January...ugh! It did warm up to 65 today...bearable because the sun was shining.

Phroggy...my husband is still wearing shorts, too! I am the cold natured one in the family...always have been...that is why I love vacations to hot places! A bit warmer today but it is supposed to be rainy. 12 more days until our fall vacation!

For me I refuse to turn on the furnace until Columbus Day and will wear my flip flops until it's so cold my feet freeze. I will wear jeans, no problem with that, but it's a sad sad day when the sandals have to be packed up.
