If you are going to be at the beach next week or even if you are only there only in thought  how would you celebrate the 4th? I know that we want to watch fireworks on the beach, but where should we go/park? Is there anything that are must do's during the day to celebrate?

Can't wait to hear your suggestions :sunny:

I don't know what we'll be doing yet, but I would like to take this opportunity to share what may be the dumbest (so far) quote of 2014:

(WPDE news regarding the Market Common 4th of July plans)

Event organizes say they will not have fireworks because they don't want the loud noises to bother children and dogs they hope will attend the event.

We'll be walking across the street with our chairs and planting out butts down to watch the Cherry Grove display. Perfect vantage point, like 4 blocks away.

If we were there... We would have tickets to the Pelican's Baseball game on Thursday night (the 3rd) and would enjoy the fireworks show after the game. On the fourth we'd be sure to have some burgers for lunch on the Boardwalk and then spend the evening on the beach watching fireworks (professional and amateur).

we haven't been at the beach for the 4th in years but I remember one of the first 4th that I was at there... We were staying at the Yachtsman and we watched the fireworks from the front balcony that were from the Pavillion!! That was 33 years ago and I remember it so clear!!

This year we will be watching from our front porch at home that the town puts off!! Then we'll set off fireworks out back and kids will be making smores!!

This weekend is hubby's b'day and Sunday is a family reunion
Next weekend the 4th
Next weekend surprise 80th b'day party for my mother in law..

I'm tired already!!
