My son is thinking of going to Myrtle Beach for a long weekend in late October. He wants oceanfront, what would be a good hotel/condo for a 4 or 5 night stay.

Tell him to check vrbo or home away. That time of the year should be wide open and the price will be a lot less than summer time.

Rates are good in late Oct. I've always stayed in the south end at the Compass Cove. They're showing about $89.00 a night right now. They say thats a 25% discount.

Oceanfront w/ 2 beds abd a murphy bed in the livingroom. Most hotels will have a deal and room close to the same.

I recommend Oceans One...it's beautiful and if he stays in an end room he gets a 180 degree view of Myrtle. Close to everything, and the staff are wonderful. This will be our 6th year at Oceans One and haven't had any problems. The views are like no other. Please let us know what he chooses and hope he enjoys his vacation.

ME and the family stayed at Sandcastle South this past February and thought it was nice for the price.I think all the rooms are ocean front.
