Anyone have any Christmas pics they want to share. I know it is not Christmas yet  , but I thought we could share a few things before the big day. You know children, grandchildren, pets, decorations, cookies, favorite Christmas dishes, etc.

Today has been a busy day for the Smith's. We had a family dinner after church and I have been running around like crazy trying to get things done. Have I ever mentioned I HATE to wrap presents  and I have pretty much done it all afternoon. Anyway, I decided to share a pic of my Otis because his expression in this pic is how I feel today. Don't get me wrong I can't wait for Christmas and spending time with my precious family. I am just kinda over it today, but will be much better tomorrow

You all know I am all about posting food pics, so here goes

Image

This is my famous French Toast bake. It is a terrible pic since it looks burnt, but it wasn't. Needless to say there is not a crumb left. This is one of the many things I got up at 5:30 A.M. to prepare for 23 members of my family. Christmas is about family right???

Now it is time for a long Christmas nap :nanner:

Merry Christmas to my MB family. You guys are the best.

Deanna, that looks so yummy! When you get the time would you be willing to share the recipe? Looks like a keeper.

Here ya go.....

French Toast Bake

1 Loaf French Bread
1 Dozen Eggs
1 ¾ cups Half & Half
2 tbsp Brown Sugar
2 tsp vanilla

Mix eggs, half & half, brown sugar and vanilla. Dip French bread slices into mixture and lay flat into glass baking dish sprayed with Pam. Pour remaining mixture over bread. Cover and set in fridge over night.

¾ cup Brown Sugar
½ cup Butter
¾ cup Maple Syrup

Melt butter and stir in sugar & syrup. Pour over bread mixture and bake @ 350 for approximately 45 minutes.

The only thing I do differently is I do not lay the French Bread flat in the pan. I stand it up. It is much prettier that way. Also, you may have to cook a few minutes longer (depending on how hot your over is) just to make sure all the egg is cooked. I always place a cookie sheet under my baking dish just in case it runneth over

It was good to have everybody together at the same time. Barbs brother even flew in for a couple of days from Saskatchewan . He flys back home on Saturday.

And of course there's a baby in the house again.
