For those of you who do not follow Ocearch on FB I thought I would let you know that Mary Lee a 3,500 lb 16ft Great White has pinged in Myrtle Beach today. The update stated that she was coastal which means she is very close to shore. If this had happend during beach swimming months the authorities would have been notified

Oh bummer, I missed it. I've been watching Mary Lee all summer but then quit watching as summer wore down.

She moves pretty good. 4 days later now and she's getting down by Savannah and Tybee Island. She's been off the coast of Myrtle pretty close quite a few times last year.

There was another thread on Mary Lee and the Shark tracker site that was going on around spring time.

Go to this website:
http://www.ocearch.org/

Under "All Sharks" type in or scroll down to:
Mary Lee

Then choose "Tracking Activity" and select "past week" or "Last 24 hours"

Hope this helps!

Has anyone seen the reports of half eaten dolphins washing on shore on Folly Beach? Mary Lee's name has been brought up

It was actually Hunting Beach down by St Helena Inlet and my bet would be that Mary Lee took a bite and the meat did not taste good, due to the virus/infection that is affecting dolphins along our coast right now, either that or like some people when eating crawfish, she does not such the head.

Y'all make it a great week

Gary
