lands inn was the first hotel i stayed at with my parents in myrtle. the owner's name was jim smith and they also owned the longview hotel that was next door to lands inn. we had some great times there as kids and if memory serves, the sandy beach is what is now in their place.

Sandy Beach and the Windsurfer is owned by Tommy Smith. If memory serves me correct Oceans One is now standing on the former lots of Lands Inn and Longview hotel. Tommy's brother owns Oceans One.
Side note...We stayed many years at the Windsurfer and now at Oceans One....they both have a nice, friendly staff. Cynthia (the manager of the Windsurfer) has worked for Tommy a long time. To us the Windsurfer was like going home...we stayed many vacations there. Mom is getting older so we moved to a room at Oceans One that is a lot more room. Mr Booth is the manager at Oceans One and he has always been so good to us.
