Stopped in J Peters Grill & Bar last week after hearing about how good the early bird dinner was from friends. Best stop I have made in a while. My wife ordered the flounder dinner and the waitress brought her a plate with 4 large pieces of flounder, more than she could possibly eat. I ordered the prime rib and was given what seemed to be at least a 10 oz piece of meat. We both thought our meals were very good.
Neither of us wanted the salad that came with the meal and asked if we could substitute soup for the salad. Not only did they oblige us but she brought us both bowls, not cups, of soup. I had the She-Crab soup and my wife the Baked Potato soup, no complaints at all, the soup was good. Not sure if the waitress made a mistake bringing us bowls instead of cups, but we'll take it.
Best part was the price, the flounder was $10 and the prime rib a dollar more at $11. With beverages the bill came to $24 not bad at all for how much we enjoyed the meal and the amount of food we were given.
J Peters is a chain restaurant, they have 8 places in South Carolina and Georgia. This one is located in Pawleys Island. It is in the BiLO mall on Route 17, southbound side. Website follows:

Thanks for the recommendation, Bruce. This sounds like a real deal. Do you know what their Early Bird hours are? I did not see it on the menu.
