Got in yesterday decided to try this place after the long drive. Its on the waterway at the intersection of 17 and Lake Arrowhead rd. behind the minimart. Still haven't figured how to pist pics but gonna work on it. Typical bar food it was good but not outstanding the beer was cold will probably return. An upshot they have recliners in front of a big screen that they will serve you in on game day just like being at home. Give this place a try the service was great.

Interesting review. We really didn't care for it when we went a few years ago. Service was horrendous, food was decent though over priced. What really got us was the cigarette smoke from the bar patrons.

Shows how much I keep up with things now days... Didn't know there was a place for a sports bar there. I had to go look at google, and now see that it's located where Shoney's used to be located. I once spent a lot of time at that intersection. Did a lot of business with Reynolds Watson, owner of Watson's Shopping Center that also included a gas station where I got gas. Watson's was a glorified hardware store located where Wing's is now. I was in the radio business back then and Watson's Shopping Center sponsored all the Clemson and South Carolina football and basketball games we played on the old WMYB. That's back when they only had two radio stations in town, WMYB and WKZQ, both AM in Myrtle Beach and WNMB in North Myrtle Beach. Google map shows it as Backyard Sports Bar and Grill. Patrish and I will have to remember it's there when up that way and dinner is near... Yes interesting review, Thanks!

I have ben staying at Apache since 1978 so I remember Watson's well. Forgot all about the Shoney's. as a teen I spent a lot of time at the waterslide and skate park where the Galleria is now.

Thanks for the review and for adding the photos. I know it's a pain in the butt to add photos, so it's all the more appreciated.
