I've been to this upscale sports bar twice - once for lunch and once for dinner.
Although lunch was good (not excellent) I felt that $9. was pricey for a sandwich. But if you're there to see sports on one of the many TVs, you may feel it's worth the price.
But what I want to tell you about is the dinner. Wally and I were a little hesitant about ordering fish in a non-seafood sports bar, but WOW…we were pleasantly surprised. We both ordered the Five Herb Crusted Salmon, priced at 16.99. It is large piece of salmon, served with Shrimp Scampi Mashed Potatoes in a Classic Basil Pesto.
I'm not a mashed potato fan, so I substituted a small salad for the potato. I was afraid I would miss out on the Shrimp Scampi since it was part of the mashed potato side, but they served me the scampi, minus the potato.
We both really enjoyed this meal. It was certainly as good or better than we've eaten in some seafood restaurants. The service was good, but if you want atmosphere with your meal, you're better off in Murrells Inlet. Or next door at the Tommy Bahama Cafe.
Here are the pictures. Wally's is #1 and my order is #2.
