It has taken a while for me to get around to this review...mainly, because we really like to eat here. It is an every year kind of meal...This year we went on a Wednesday evening...knew it would be packed...but we were still seated with in 10 minutes(party of 3)...We ordered the Shrimp & Grits Balls...they were FABULOUS...there were 6 in the order...next year we will order double! They were that good. I forget what the others ordered but their meals were great...Mine...not so much...I ordered a steak medium well...we waited an hour for our food.. so we were really hungry when it arrived...my steak was not medium well...it was very very well done...but seeing as we were starving and had already waited so long I declined to send it back...the baked potato that came with the steak was pretty done as well...our server was great...I almost thought in all the confusion I may have said "well done" when ordering but after looking at the receipt...it said medium well...so I am guessing the kitchen may well have been understaffed..and overwhelmed...and my steak just got left on the grill too long...I did email the Dead Dog just this evening...I will let all know if I get a response...next year I am getting the ribs or a lot of the Shrimp & Grit Balls

I see you've had plenty of "reads" on this post, but no responses.

Sorry about your steak, and more sorry you didn't send it back. (I know, I know...you were hungry.)

But I was wondering if you ever heard back from D.D. and if so, what did they say?

Our experiences at D.D. have been positive enough that if we're in the Marshwalk area, that's where we usually head to eat.

Keep hearing about this place. Just might have to try it 1 day. I'm always on the fence about sending it back too if it's overcooked. Under cooked and they can throw it on the grill for another minute but to send back an over cooked steak means to start all over. Very rarely have I sent it back.

I never heard back from Dead Dog...a little disappointing :???: but we will go back...We have had enough great meals there to keep it on our list...Especially for the Shrimp & Grit Balls...
