We stopped at Margaritaville on our way in around noon on Saturday while we waited on our condo. This is a great time to visit Margaritaville if it is on your list because there is no wait. There were 10 of us and we walked right in. That is pretty much unheard of any other time during the week. Our meal is pretty much the same every year  we started out with nacho's which are always great

My mom and I split the Cheeseburger In Paradise with onion rings and Doug had the same

That pic does not do the burgers justice because it looks a little flat and truly not as yummy as it was. Either I was very hungry or that burger was delicious.

Ryan had the ribs and was very pleased

Our meal at Margaritaville was very good for what I consider casual dining. We enjoy the fun upbeat atmosphere and I think it's a great place to start your vacation. It always makes me want to run straight to the beach :sunny: I don't think I would ever stand in line 2 hours during the week though.

Margaritaville get's **** from our family this year

We started taking your advice about three years ago, and have also made it an annual tradition for lunch on travel day. It works out nicely that you can eat at Margaritaville, make a couple of trips around Broadway and it is then pretty much check-in time after that. It also puts you in MB early enough to avoid the traffic issues. Since this is a restaurant forum, I will say that the food we had was good.

Thanks for adding the pics with your review. Enjoy the remainder of your meals at the beach this week.

That's a great idea about going to Margaritaville on check-in day! We are talking about coming on in Thursday or Friday this next year and staying longer than a week so if we do I will be sure to mention this to Bryan!

Margaritaville is always a treat for us! Yes it is a chain, but the atmosphere, the music, the food….it just all screams WE ARE AT THE BEACH. I mean who doesn’t like to sing a little “It’s Five O’ Clock Somewhere” on your arrival at the beach. I think someone mentioned on the board before that the ambiance at Margaritaville is included in the price. So true!

We always stop at Margaritaville around noon on our way to check in. This is the only time we have found that the wait is not crazy long. Also, at this point in the week our belly’s are not that full so everything taste good and life is great. I just don’t know if our week would be complete if we didn’t start it off with this meal.

We always start out with the GINORMOUS nacho’s. There are literally enough nacho’s there for 5 people to get full on.

http://i663.photobucket.com/albums/uu35 ... CN3886.jpg

The nacho’s and the onion rings are my favorite things at this joint.

Ryan always get’s the ribs which he swears are wonderful. I would never know since he will not spare a bite.

Doug and I got a burger and they were average.

http://i663.photobucket.com/albums/uu35 ... CN3887.jpg

The service was great and we had a great time. With those things in mind we all agreed that Margaritaville get’s a grade of B+ from us this year. I am sure we will return next year.

Thanks for your review, Deanna! Even though it's a chain, it's a fun place to eat. Loved your photos!

We took your advice and also do Margaritaville on "travel day" . Hate to say it, but this year may be the last time we do it. Ambiance has pretty much been the only thing keeping us there the last couple of years. Menu options just a little bit limited to keep us coming back. Just eating sandwiches and chicken tenders for the kids and Margaritaville still ends up being one of the most expensive meals of our trip. Probably going the way of Hard Rock and Planet Hollywood at least for me. Nice to experience the hype, but better options for less cost is out there. It does do a good job of starting the "beach mood" for the trip, but I'm starting to question whether or not it the atmosphere is worth it.

We opted to do this for lunch on our arrival day. Needed to "kill time" anyways, and this way we could avoid the 2+ hour waits that they seem to have most nights. The kids really wanted to do this one.

We were able to be seated right away, right around noon. We were seated upstairs for the first time. Table wasn't great, right near the kitchen/server station, but oh well. No margaritas for us unfortunately. Dave developed some medical problems just a few weeks before we left and is currently on a "no alcohol, no spicy foods, no caffeine" diet for a few months. So you won't see any alcohol reviews from us this trip, I abstained as well, in "sympathy". LOL. But I did NOT abstain from caffeine, need my Diet Coke!!

I had my Diet Coke and Dave and the kids both ordered lemonades. I ordered the Volcano Nachos, kids both had chicken strips and Dave got the Cuban sandwich. The Nachos were, of course, HUGE. I knew that and planned to be taking them back to the condo for dinner, and lunches. They were good, not great, but good. Dave said the same about the Cuban. I was surprised he ordered that, I order that a lot, he's usually more of a burger guy. The kids enjoyed their meals just fine. The food is decent here, overpriced of course, but you really go for the "atmosphere". We really went for the kids :) They enjoyed watching the little show. Last time we were here, in 2008, the show wasn't quite so amusing....we had reservations for dinner, but ended up having to go for lunch because TS Ernesto was hitting and they were closing early, along with everything else. That being our first TS, we didn't know what to expect and I was quite nervous (it was all fine obviously).

Image

I guess in summary...you know what you get when you come here. It is what it is! Hope that makes sense.

The last time we went to Margaritaville (at least 4 years ago) we were sat upstairs too and didn't like it. There was no air flow at all so it was so hot up there.

That's pretty much how we feel about Margaritaville also. It really is a nice way to open up beach week, but I don't really know if only atmosphere can really keep us going back. Food this year was average at best. I really don't like the menu a whole lot and trying to justify paying $70+ for three or four burgers and a couple of kids meals is just not worth it to me. May give somewhere different a try next year.
