I was hoping that someone might have an affirmative answer for you. I have not heard about that special. The website has a downloadable menu, and although prices are reasonable, I didn't see that offer. If you go, p[lease let us know your thoughts!

Black Thai sometimes has an ad on the back page of the "Kicks" section of Friday's paper.

You can download both the lunch and dinner menu from the website.

I've read some not-too-complimentary reviews on this restaurant, but that may be because Myrtle Beach is not the place you would expect Thai food.

We were there for dinner not long ago with two other couples, and we all enjoyed the our meals. I haven't eaten thai food often enough to say whether it is authentic or not. One member of our party thought it was "excellent and authentic" while another said they like going there for lunch more than dinner, and although the food was good they did not feel it was authentic.

The service was attentive, and the prices excellent for the amount of food we were served. It was not overly spicy and everything tasted very fresh.

We had a BOGO coupon, but it can only be used once at a table with more than 2 people. (It did NOT say that on the coupon.) When the waitress informed us of this, we said we would split up and eat at 3 separate tables, so we could each use the coupon. We also mentioned that this SHOULD have been printed on the coupon. The waitress went in the back to check with someone, and told us we could continue to sit together and they would honor all the coupons.

Wally and I returned to Black Thai at the end of March because we were in that area, and we were getting hungry. I am sorry to report that the restaurant did not appear to be as clean as it was on our last visit. The menus were sticky, as was the table. The floor did not appear to have been cleaned recently. I felt like I needed to go to the restroom and wash my hands after touching the menu. I checked the Restaurant Inspections Scores when we got home, but Black Thai was not listed. Just an FYI. Please let me know about your recent experience!

Went there well over a year ago and had the same experience as you, Patrish. Table, chairs, floor dirty, sticky menu, and much smaller portions than in the past. Sent them an email expressing my dismay and received no response. Therefore, no return.
