Like I said Liberty has always been one of our favorite meals. I guess we can all hope they were having an off night. I will be anxious to hear someone else review in the future.

Appetizers were great for us to. It was the meals that were terrible. We are hoping it was just a bad night. We love Liberty.

Maybe we'll just stick the appetizers. I always get the pretzels and then usually chili.

This has always been one of our favorites, and we enjoyed it again this year.

We ordered the Pretzels and Cheese Fries as appetizers. We love them both and it's too hard to choose! The pretzels are still very good, they come with a honey mustard and a spicy mustard. I miss though, how years ago they came with 3 mustards, including a stone ground, all of them house made. They used to tell you what they were, etc. These now are just bottled I think.

I ordered the chili, it's soooo good here. Dave got the ribs. This was his first time ordering them, he usually gets the burger with crabmeat on top. He really enjoyed the ribs. I don't really remember what the kids got, I want to say chicken strips for Josh and maybe a mac n cheese for Jessi? Dave and Jessi finished all theirs, I didn't even come close, and Josh had some chicken left. We took back to the condo some chili (they gave me a bowl), a pretzel, cheese fries and a chicken strip. Delicious chili cheese fries for me for lunch the next day!!

Overall, we were still very happy with Liberty. Have never had a bad meal here. We also got 10% off our bill by using our receipt from T-Bonz the night before. I think that saved us $6 or so.

Thanks for the review, and the photo! I'm glad to read a good review since I've heard some mixed opinions this year. We've always enjoyed Liberty, and like you, have not had a bad meal there. Same goes for their sister restaurant, T-Bonz. (Have not tried Capriz yet.)

We mentioned that we might try Capriz next time. Since we always love Liberty, were satisfied with T-Bonz...why not?

We always enjoy Liberty Steakhouse! It's close to home, the restaurant is huge so we seldom have a long wait, and we have never had a bad meal here.

Last night I ordered the Sirloin and Wally enjoyed the Roast Prime The prices include a nice salad (choice of tossed or Caesar) bread, and 1 side choice.

Bread in a basket. Half of it went out the door with us to feed the fish and ducks.

Marinated Sirloin 10oz. Teriyaki Sauce w/pineapple round 19.95
My "side" Baked Potato w/sour cream & butter

Roast Prime Rib rubbed w/spices and roasted. Served with horseradish sauce & au juice. 12 oz. 17.95
Wally's "side" Baked Sweet Potato

Everything was very good. Both the baked potato and sweet potato were HUGE! Our server, Donna, was excellent. She checked with us several times throughout the meal to be sure everything was all right, and to refill drinks.

Outside the door and into the heat again, we were surprised BAB was so busy. I guess by next week it will have emptied out a lot. But we enjoy the crowds and playing "tourist." We hate that it is starting to get dark so early as we wanted toget home before dark to get the yard watered...but we almost didn't make it. By 8:15 PM Wally was watering in darkness!

Catch a Fish (outside Liberty)

Someone giving away "balloons for a tip" near Liberty's front door

We saw drummers whose drums were made from household items. They were showing kids how to hold drumsticks and use them on a drum.

Then we saw them a short time later, and noticed their "tip jars." (See the first two drummers.)

I wonder if they had permission from BAB to do this, or if they just showed up. Either way, it looked like a lot of fun for the kids.

Liberty Steak House is one of our favorites! This visit, Mike had the BBQ Chicken and Ribs Combo with garlic mashed potatoes, and I had the Honey Bourbon chicken breast (this is a whole not half breast) with sweet baked potato. Both of our meals were delicious! We also ordered Liberty's home brewed root beer. Sadly it didn't come in a frosted mug, but it was so good! We had a nice window table in the dining room and watched the speedboat on the lake. Our server did a nice job. Our bill was about $40.

You can't go wrong here. If you haven't tried it yet, they do have a nice happy hour deal in the bar with some very good appetizers. We have done this many times and with just 2 appetizers and fountain drinks, you can easily walk out of there for under $20 for 2 people.

Well, it pains me to write this review. I have always loved this place. This year I was so excited that I wanted to make it our first dinner for the week. Was surprised to find that they have consolidated their menu. Dinners did not include salads any longer, many items that we used to get were no longer on the menu. Even the appetizers were different, instead of the wonderful big soft pretzels they used to have, now they have pretzel bites, that aren't nearly as good. I had the loaded fries and they were good, but not what I had wanted. Second night I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken, was surprised when it came out, it wasn't what I expected. It was 2 large boneless chicken pieces, they were ok, but I had expected fried chicken, bone in, crispy coating, but this was more like a patty with soggy coating. Just wasn't good. Came with a small scoop of mashed potatoes and green beans, no salad. Not very good for $19.95 price tag. Hubby got a build your own chicken sandwich and he really liked it. Kids just ate the pretzel bites. They were ok, but not as good as the old pretzels. Hopefully it was just a bad year, first time in 13 years that I have been unhappy with the place.
