Terry and I enjoyed another fine meal this past week at Angelo's...We both had the New York Strip with baked potato...salad and rolls were brought out first...much like they do at Olive Garden...we both drank ice tea...the steaks were excellent and we were way to full for desert! Some day we will try the Italian buffet...

Do yourself a favor and do not try the Itialin buffet at any price :)

We all have different tastes and that is good, I just do not see the attraction
with the steaks here, I have never been pleased with one there

Maybe, we like it because we are limited in our choices of steak restaurants where we live...so I guess we do not have alot of varied experiences...oh well, life in the sticks...I think I like Angelo's because I love the way the steaks come out on the super hot sizzling platters...and I just think they taste great...:)

You said it so well, super hot sizzling platters, that's the sizzle as in sell/sales, it's
a specially made platter that yes is hot, it is designed so that just before leaving
the kitchen you spray water and oil on it and thus the sizzle, making our brains think
this is really good as it is something you don't normally see or smell, so it must be good.

We went to Angelo's a couple of years ago and thought the buffet was excellent and the steaks were great as well. The NY Strip was thick juicy and cooked perfectly medium. The sizzling platter is used to assure the quality of the steak is not compromised. Old steakhouses used them for years. When you serve a lot of steaks you can place the steak on the hot cast iron plate just when it is under the desired cook temp and it arrives at the table perfectly cooked and when you cut into it it is juicy and hot. The sizzle on the plate is butter that also adds flavor to the steak.
Another thing about Angelo's is that it is reasonably priced. The food on the buffet is great with a wide variety of Italian dishes to choose from. Trust me you can't go wrong with this place.

Jeff is too modest to mention that he really knows his stuff. He has been a restaurant manager for many, many years, and I always depend on him to give me the straight dope!

Thanks Patrish. No one has ever called me modest before. I have 17 years experience in the steakhouse business and about 10 years in the casual dining business.

My husband Corey and I love steak and we both agree that Angelo's is the best... We have ALWAYS had very juicy cooked to perfection steaks with the best taste. We also love the garlic bleucheese butter. Angelo's is a must for us each time we go on the first night to start out our vacation right. Oh how I would do almost anything for one now... NEXT YEAR! :hello:

We love Angelo's also. We have only discovered it in the last few years. You can argue that the steaks are better at some place like Ruths Chris, but for the price you pay at Angelo's by comparison I'll go to Angelo's. It has become one of our must gos on each trip to the beach.
