This little gem is almost hidden in a strip mall not far from Inlet Square Mall in Murrells Inlet. So hidden, as a matter of fact, that Siri took us to the wrong location and we had to call for directions.
We had reservations at 7:30, and most of the tables were full. There was a musician playing Italian music, and the wait staff could not have been better. "Oh...you'tre the people who called for directions!" (It's nice to be recognized!)
This was our first experience at this restaurant, and we could see why all the reviews we read have been so positive.
I ordered their Chicken Marcella and Wally enjoyed a veal entree. Both were delicious. The house wine was reasonably priced, and I absolutely loved the bread with it's thick and crispy crust. We agreed a return visit would be in order.
Below is a photo of my entree and salad. Wally chose the Carsar Salad which also looked very good.
We got into a conversation with the very nice local couple sitting next to us and talked until the restaurant was almost empty. They dine at Pacino's regularly and said it was one of their favorites.
My only complaint was that it was too dark to read the menu. We both had to use our iPhone flashlights. Someone came by after we ordered and lit the candle on the table, but that did not help much. I know you're thinking we're cantankerous old people (!) but there needs to be a compromise between a romantic atmosphere and having enough light to read.
