We went to Amici's this year on August 11, 2011.
WE have been taking annual Summer vacations to MB for the past 20-odd years. For the past few, we have stopped into Amici's to eat. And for the past fwe times we have been disappointed. This year was our last visit. The tale this year follows:
We walked a few feet down the block and saw Amici’s. We had been there a few times before (and after the fact, I was told that we never liked eating there. . .)and decided to go there this evening. Amici’s was busy, so we had to wait a few minutes to be seated. We had a good waiter, who provided good service. The food; however, was another matter. We order the antipasto that looked nice,

It tasted OK, but it would have been better had it been fresher. For the entree, we ordered a large specialty meat pizza. It was the worst restaurant pizza that I have ever had. The crust was OK, but the meats and vegetables were placed on top of a big glob of melted cheese. The sausages appeared to be cooked, but the vegetables were raw and the whole thing was a large soupy mess. It looked like something that was made at home by amateur pizza makers, using the wrong type of cheese. We ate it, but it was very messy and much of the toppings and cheese was scrapped aside. Overall grade was a “C”. The waiter was a solid “B”, the pizza a “D-“. Afterwards, my wife told me that we have never been terribly excited about Amici’s, so I guess that it didn’t really let us down this time. However, based upon this visit, I don’t think we would make a return visit.
