Palmetto House of Pancakes | 2009 Hwy 17 S, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582 | http://www.palmettohouseofpancakes.com/

We decided to eat here because the breakfast place next door was packed. The first thing I noticed was the time share booth right next to the entrance. I thought it was a bit odd. Where won't they put a timeshare booth in Myrtle Beach? lol. As soon as we got in, the overwhelming smell of bleach hit me. Now, I seriously can't stand the smell of bleach. It makes me gag to the point where I have to leave the room to get away from it, but I couldn't escape it here. My mom said at least the bleach smell meant the restaurant was being cleaned. After a while I got used to it, but that's really not the first thing you want to smell when you hit up a breakfast joint. We were seated immediately and our server came over to get our drink orders. She was very nice, but insisted on singing along loudly to whatever song they were playing in the restaurant. It made my mom and I giggle every time she did it. We all ordered different omelettes. I got mine with grits and wheat toast, and my parents got theirs with potatoes and wheat toast and they split a side of pancakes. The food was good and hit the spot. Everything was cooked to order the way we liked. I wouldn't mind coming here again - minus the bleach smell!

Thanks for the review !

Interesting hours.... from 10p at night until 2p the following day. Had to think about this one.... so they are closed from 2p until 10p daily ? I drove into MB really late one night/morning and was starved so hit up Sams Place, a 24x7 joint. Get to see some crazy characters on the graveyard shift :bootyshake:

Yes...I agree with Kirk. Thanks for the review. I have never heard of this place, but I know about the timeshare people who seem to be everywhere! The smell of bleach would get to me too,
so I'm sorry to hear about your experience. But I loved the photos and appreciate you taking the time to review this restaurant.

Funny you mentioned this place...Paul and I pulled in to use a coupon we had here; saw the Timeshare booth and lack of cars in the lot and pulled out :ohnoes:

Maybe we'll try again!
