George's "Kitchen Sink" omelet..... the BEST ! Add on the biscuits/gravy and corned beef..... best deal in town !

I swear I'd fly down to MB just for that buffet !

Those photos make me want to go back there! I don't remember what the problem was that my family and I had the last time we ate there. I know we walked away disappointed and I can't for the life of me remember why. However, that was dinner, not breakfast. I'm not sure we've ever been there for breakfast. Perhaps this is the year that I convince everyone to get up early and go! Thanks for the review! :hello:

Thanks, Deanna! I am not usually a big fan of any buffets...but the made to order omelets may have won me over...I love omelets...so now we will just have to go and try George's omelets out!

I'm becoming more of a breakfast guy. I totally need to try this sometime soon.

This was our first disappointment for the Sea Captain's House! We've eaten here ever trip and on one occasion, ate there every day of our vacation. This time, the crab cake benedict was made with crap cakes, not crab! Has a mini crab cake appetizers at Drunken Jacks, and they were so much better! I also think that the bar set up where the waiting area used to be seems tacky! Phyllis' corned beef hash was ok, but not anything special. We'll still go back, but we'll be ordering differently!

Patrish, we still like the place, but the crab cakes were not of the caliber you would expect from a restaurant like Sea Captain's! After waiting so long to get back there, it was disappointing to get a substandard meal!

Ate at the Captain's again, this time I opted for the buffet! Happy this time, last year must have been a fluke! Crappy morning this time though, windows were all steamed up, so no views  ! Still one of our favorite breakfast places, even with a grumpy waitress

Kind of cloudy and rainy this morning so we thought we would try something I have heard so many good things about. I must say other than the fresh made omelets, the buffet was no better than Shoney's. The food wasn't very hot and I really think the gravy was just a mix from a bag. The best thing on the buffet were the grits. Nice ocean view though.

Jeff, thanks for sharing this information. I totally trust you on any food reviews, so I'm disappointed to hear this.

They used to do the buffet on Sunday only, and we looked forward to it as something special a few times a year. Not sure when they switched it to every day, but from your remarks, it looks like they have lost their unique delicious brunch somewhere along the way. Sad.
