We eat here at least every ten days ...I already have acquired enough points to hit my 100.00 gift card with my johnny ds card (and am already halfway back thru..lol)
I have tried many things and all have been delish. I tend to go back to the Irish (hash) skillet. And I always order a side of grits because they are super tasty but you can't pass up their home fries. My husband loves the seafood omelet and the cinnamon roll waffle. Of course the mimosas are on special during the weekend!!! Next time I am getting the pound cake thing...the table over got one last week and I contemplated reaching over for a bite!!!!

We went to Johnny D's on our way out of Myrtle Beach this past Sunday. I had the Stuffed French Toast and my husband had the Bacon Egg Avocado on Croissant. We also shared an order of their home fries. Everything was SO delicious! I was a little worried the Stuffed French Toast was going to be too sweet for me since I usually don't eat that much sweet stuff but I absolutely loved it! Can't wait to go back! I'm attempting to post a picture of my dish... it is my first time posting a picture on here so please be patient :)

There were 8 of us that arrived on July 4th at Johnny D's around 9:15 A.M.

Image

We had to wait around 15 minutes for our table. It was very crowded, but that is to be expected on the 4th.

I decided to try the Pound Cake French Toast

Image

Oh my, was I doing the happy dance. It was delish! I am not kidding if you are a sweet eater you MUST try this. Yes, I will be going back for more of this sweet delight.

My mom and cousin got the Stuffed French Toast

Image

My mom and cousin both thought this was very good. I am not a huge fruit eater (I know go ahead and ask, how can I not be a fruit eater?) so this was just ok for me.

All the guys got the Johnny D's Grand Slam

Image

They all just seemed as happy as can be with their breakfast.

Will we return....YES. If you are a breakfast lover like me Johnny D's is a great place. Don't miss it!

We have been to Johnny D’s in Myrtle Beach several times. It is called a local favorite and in the past has always been crowded. For me it’s not bad by any means, it’s just not a wow experience. The new location in North Myrtle was very spacious and I enjoyed the atmosphere. There was only one thing missing. Customers!! There was hardly anyone there at 9:00. This is a little concerning.
So hoping for that wow experience I decided to try the red velvet waffle. I had read on FB that this waffle had won best waffle in South Carolina by Food Network. Wow..Food Network so it has to be good..right?
https://www.thestate.com/news/state/art ... 24709.html

It was good and I would eat it again, however I am not sure about being the best in South Carolina.

Johnnny D’s is worth giving a try and I am sure we will return.
