We had another great burger meal at River City Cafe! I had the Carolina burger with slaw and onion rings...Kathy had the Nacho Jalepaneo Burger(that may not be the exact right name)...with ice tea for me...water for my friend...we sat outside with a nice view of the pier and the ocean...there were plenty of peanuts to eat while we were waiting for our food...the waitress did a great job...our drinks and peanuts were brought really quickly...we did not have to wait long for our food...there were lots of people there...families, couples, old and young...we always enjoy the variety of burgers they have...of course we will go back again! Cost: about $15.00 each

That's our favorite location. Can't beat the view. I always loved their burgers, but went a few years ago on a Friday during Lent and had their Blackened Grouper Reuben Sandwich. WOW, what a sandwich. Ever since then, I just have to order that whenever we get to River City. I'd love to have one of their great burgers again, but that reuben fish sandwich is simply amazing.

That is my favorite location as well. That's always our first dinner when we arrive.

We had dinner here last night. There was a 30 minute wait so my wife and I sat at the bar. Must of been my lucky night someone from the kitchen came out looking to deliver an order of chili cheese fries and couldn't find the right person asked us if we wanted them for frree so of course I said yes. :hello: Missus had a reuben sandwich with an order of onion rings I had the bacon cheesburger with hot pepper jack cheese. We really liked both sandwiches and the onion rings and fries were good also. We wanted to sit outside when we first arrived but looking out it was really windy and we were glad we sat inside.

We have never had a bad experience at this River City location...sometimes the outside seating can be windy...even chilly if there has been a recent rain...I love the Carolina Burger!

Thanks for the pic. That was just about the view we had for our first meal at the beach this year. It may become a tradition for us to eat at the RC in Surfside for our lunch arrival. Nothing like sitting outside with that view of the ocean to start the week.

Mike and Amy were here for a few days from Boone, NC. Last night ago we decided on River City Cafe in Surfside Beach

The service was slow, but we have gotten used to that and don't mind if the food is hot. The view is terrific, especially at sundown, and the food was good and hot when it got to our table. The server was good, friendly and knowledgeable about the food on the menu.

The menu:

My mouth is watering from that blooming onion appetizer! What a beautiful photo of the pier.
