Ever since moving to the area a few months ago, I've been trying out as many restaurants as I can.. many of them what I would call "cheap eats." One of them is Gary's Dogs. The sign says "Gary's Dogs Shack", but Gary likes to just go by Gary's Dogs.

I love a good hot dog, and I have to tell you, this is one of the BEST hot dogs I've ever had. He doesn't use a weiner you can buy in any local store. He gets his shipped from Boston. They are real Kayem "Fenway Franks." He's got a great menu that's not over-crowded. Just some really good hot dog choices, and some burgers as well. Prices VERY reasonable, and he has specials every day.

I've become a regular there, trying to visit at least once a week. Gary is great, and so is Peg who cashiers and runs out the food. Don't go in expecting glamour... or even a lot of seating. It's all outdoor seating, and there isn't a ton of it. But, my oh my, it is worth the trip, no matter which side of the strand you are on.

Thank you so much for the review!
I checked out their website and saw that they serve hot dogs on a bun that is steamed, or toasted (just the way I like it!). Yay!
We will definitely give them a try. :nanner:

Your welcome for the review... When you go, tell them that a guy named Cliff told you about them.

Well I know where I'll be stopping sometime in Oct for lunch, a steamed NE Split top roll is the bomb, even without a discount I'll go here one time :)
