Grilled Cheese & Crab Cake Co. is located at 2520 Hwy. 17, in the Oasis Plaza, Garden City Beach. 843-947-0755
Open 11 AM - 7 PM Mon. - Sat.

Our friends Gail and Gary have been talking about this restaurant for awhile. It's one of their new local favorites, and yesterday we were
finally able to get together for lunch.

We arrived early, around 11:45. The inside is small and can seat only 12 - 14 people and we knew it would be too hot to sit outside.

Service was very good and Southern-friendly. Drinks were re-filled quickly.

I ordered Tiki Bay Shrimp from the appetizer menu.(7.95) They were crispy, hot and delicious.

The others ordered sandwiches, and a large order of fries. The fries were good, but nothing outstanding or out of the ordinary.
The sandwiches, however, were well-worth the money. I know because I had a bite of Wally's Fried Chicken Grilled Cheese (6.95.)

Here are some photos. I didn't realize until we got ready to leave that the Grilled Cheese & Crab Cake Co. does not have a website.
I knew if I wanted to remember menu items, I needed some photos. I still missed one page of the menu, but this should give you an idea of what's available.

We're adding this to our list of local favorites.

Mm grilled cheeses! But how can a place like that not have a grilled ham and cheese sandwich!

Every time I see "Maryland style crab cake" I have to chuckle because my dad (the ultimate Maryland crab cake connoisseur) hasn't found the perfect one here yet.

That grilled cheese looks delicious!

That Seaside Salad looks pretty good, plus it wouldn't kill my diet. Those sandwiches look amazing, but I had better keep away.

So glad you enjoyed...we went once a few months ago but ours was not enjoyable and really quite expensive for what we got. I had the lobster sandwich and it was still cold in the center. Yuck. Maybe I will give it another whirl one of these days.
