Phroggy, that 100 was the follow-up inspection, where they are given 10 days, or so, to fix/clean the items that failed on the unannounced inspection.

DHEC does not look at anything else, just the items that failed, so it holds that they should get a 100.

And if that makes y'all feel better that the restaurant now has a 100, when in fact on unannounced inspection it failed so terribly and that, well, I'll just stop.

Point taken, Gary. However, I'd still give them the benefit of the doubt that they'll continue to follow procedure in the future. Cheers!!

One of our favourite spots. I love hamburgers but so many places these days make such a huge burger not only is it too big it is also hard to eat. Hamburger Joe's burgers are my size! They are a fresh made patty and we order them " all the way" which has chili and cole slaw. They are still a reasonable size and everything isn't dripping out so they are easy to eat. They also have good onion rings. Their draught beer is cold and $1 a glass. Dave always orders two burgers so our order was 3 burgers, 1 onion rings and two draught beer and our bill was about $22 before the tip.

We like to make it down to Hamburger Joe's at least once while we are in MB. We eat at the one in Garden City. Food is always good, beer is cheap, and the cost is reasonable.

We had been to Hamburger Joe's once before and gotten some hamburgers which I thought were pretty good. We decided to go again and we were not disappointed.
We decided to give the wings a try since I had heard good things about them. They were incredibly good. We got an order of the regular wings and an order of the Gold Wings (sweet'n hot). We had two salads and an order of fries to go with our soft drinks. The price was somewhere around $25 for everything. A great, cheap meal and a place we have decided will be our first meal from now on.

Is Hamburger Joe's similar to River City Cafe or is it more like a fast food burger place like Hardee's?

I've never been to the River City Cafe (only time we tried to go we had an hour wait or so), but its nothing like a Hardee's.

They are very different. I love the burgers at River City but I find them big for me. Hamburger Joe's has a very limited menu but I like the burgers because they are a good size for me. My hubby orders two. The patty is homemade. We also order it "all the way" with chili and cole slaw. There is a very small amount of each which I think is perfect. We ordered a burger this way at another place and it was so over loaded it was gushing out all over and hard to eat. Also can't go wrong with $1 beer. Lol.
