We used to go to Nance's in Murrell's Inlet but reviews are not so good.

Found Sara J's on the marsh and also found Driftwood's Seafood & Steak in a strip mall (we said we could go on a marsh walk after dinner)

We are staying in Garden City ... will have 3 small children and not everyone will eat seafood .. so need some other options on the menu.

Reasonably priced also.

So some good ideas?

Thank You

Pretty much every place I have eaten on the water that has excellent reviews includes a decent size bill. You could choose a night to eat on the water at a place like River City Cafe, but that doesn't get you seafood. Bubbas Fish Shack in Surfside is reasonably priced (food is decent), but it's across the street from the ocean. Maybe someone has eaten at one of the places on the pier that is not that expensive and good.

We used to eat at Nances when they had a good coupon and the good thing was that they let the entire party use the buy one get one half off. We enjoyed the food and with the coupon it was reasonably priced. Now days we just go to places like Driftwood on their buy one get one half off night and stay away from places on the Marsh. We can't justify the extra cost with the food quality being comparable.

If you are willing to pay comparable prices to Sara Js then your choices are unlimited. Most places on the marsh walk would be similar to Sara Js .

Thank you. We will probably hit River City ... we do enjoy a good burger too.

Reasonably priced ... it not a must have just a thought if there are better ones on the water fronts that are a bit less.

May have to try Grahams Landing. Prices look to be a little better than other options in that area.

18 years and still have not made it to Sara J's.

Enquiring mind seeks 2014 MB2 reviews from those who dine there.

Four of us were at Sara J's about 2months ago and sat on the enclosed deck. The view is very good. The food and service were okay.....pricey for what we got. Appetizers average around $10. Side orders are $3. to $5. Entrees average around $21, pasta dishes $10. - $22, Char grill prices are from $21. to $45.

I didn't bother to write a review because there really was nothing especially good nor especially bad to write about, And yes, I know it is a favorite for a lot of people.
