I know we have several reviews of Bovine's on this board. I've posted some myself, and I think most are under Beef or other categories.

However, Wally and I had dinner there tonight, and since we both ordered fish dishes, I'm posting my review here.

It was a cold night (at least by MB standards) so we asked to be seated near the wood fireplace. It was wonderful! Maybe in the summer, the best
seat overlooks the Inlet, but tonight this table was perfect for us! One of the managers appeared every 10 minutes or so, making sure the fire did not get too hot for us.

Our waiter brought us their mouth-watering hush puppies:

We both love the salad bar here, and it has been expanded since our last visit.

My salad:

Wally's salad:

I ordered the chef's special, flounder stuffed with with crab meat and shrimp. $19.98. Ummmmm. Delicious! The seasonings were perfect,
and I would order it again.

Wally enjoyed the bar-b-cue Salmon. $18.98. It came with a baked potato and corn pudding. (It looked better than the photo!)

Bovine's was a perfect 'Friday night, date night" for us! The food was excellent, and I hated to leave the comfort of the fireplace.

Looks delish! Thanks for sharing! We have never been to Bovine's. These pics make it very tempting. Our son Ryan is getting married next December and will be doing pharmacy rotations next July, so because of $$ and lack of time he and Leanna are not planning to go to the beach with us. Even though I am sad it will open the door for Doug and I to visit a few of the restaurants that are a little more pricey. We may have to add Bovine's. I am already starting to make my list. I only have 6 months to narrow it down

One thing I really like about Bovine's is that their salad bar comes with the dinner. We've been to too many restaurants where the salad is extra, and when you pay the $3.50 (or whatever) you get a wimpy excuse for a salad. I'm usually left thinking "If I had seen this first, I would have saved the money."

".... I won't eat at bovines again until September! "

And I don't think they do long-distance delivery!
But I'll bet they will still be here in September! :beerchug: Something else to look forward to!
