This newly opened restaurant is located right near the water in Cherry Grove. They have indoor and outdoor seating and the atmosphere is upbeat and fun. Beach music is playing and the waitstaff was good. That's were the positives end I am sorry to say. As my husband Paul kept saying "World Famous??" "Are you kidding??"

I had a fried shrimp sandwich with waffle fries. The shrimp was mushy and the coating was falling off the shrimp from being soggy. Nothing was on the bread with the shrimp...no mayo, tarter sauce etc. I asked for both and the obliged. It didn't help  . Sy had the Buffalo Shrimp Tacos which he said were fine. The guy will pretty much eat anything...lol. Paul was the smart one and ordered a burger. Again, he said it was OK.

This is the type of place where you should order some apps and a drink. We know that now. Again, this is just our humble opinion and others could love it. We were so excited to have another eatery in our beloved Cherry Grove but this just didn't make our grade. It was a B- only due to the great location and fun atmosphere!

Too funny.... reminds me of the first time Jan and I saw the "Maryland Fried Chicken" place on Kings Hwy near 501..... We both looked at each other cross-eyed... I never knew Maryland was famous for Fried Chicken, but I've only lived here 20 yrs.

Thanks for the review, hopefully the management gets their food-product up to speed !

Actually happy you didn't give it a rave review. I'm usually limited to one big seafood night and that has always been Duffy's. It's been bothering me that I might have to make a choice. If anything another seafood place on the street might help. The new place might draw some of the crowd from Duffy Street leaving us with shorter waits.

I'm wondering id Duffy's might even have a connection with Flounders. I first read about it on Duffy's Facebook page. Why would they be advertising for their new competition?

No comparison Alan! I am not a huge fan of Duffy's but it is FAR GREATER than Flounders. I think maybe you are right about Duffy's and their alliance. I know Basil's is definitely suffering from Flounder's opening.

It is the same owner, Bill owns all Duffy St.'s, Flounders, Senor Willies and the Hot Dog joint.
