Hi all, I'm a single female in her early thirties that just relocated to MB from Ohio for job as a nurse, wondering where good places are to meet young professionals to hangout with, not in romantic way, just lookin to meet people. Any suggestions?

Hi, and welcome to our message board!

Probably the most popular place for young professionals to hang out these days is The Market Common. The restaurants all have Happy Hour specials, and the stores and restaurants are all within easy walking distance of each other. A friend of ours recently had to move back up North, but she made a lot of other single friends in The Market Common and there was always something to do. (Check out Barnes & Noble with a Starbuck's inside.)

Broadway at the Beach's night clubs have always been popular. They too, are in close proximity of each other.

I've also heard of the younger professional crowd meeting each other in (don't laugh) grocery stores such as Fresh Market in Pawleys Island, Lowe's Foods in Myrtle Beach, and even Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, located in Mount Pleasant. (Combine these last two with a day trip to Charleston.)

Crabtree Gym offers lots of inexpensive (and some free) activities all year long.

Hopefully others will add to this list!
