My 69 year old friend and I (55) went to the Dixie Stampede. A day or two before the show we visited the horses outside. There is no cost to look at the horses. We've both been to this show in Branson, Missouri. I've also been to this show is Pigeon Forge and in Orlando. The Orlando show is now closed. As you can see by the number of visits, we both like this show. There is a pre-show at about 5:15. The show was a juggler. He was very entertaining. The horse show begins at 6:00. Food is served at the beginning of the show. The food consists of a cornish hen, bbq pork, potato skin potatoes, creamy vegetable soup, corn on the cob and an apple turnover. Water, tea (sweetened and unsweetened), pepsi and coffee also go with the meal. There are no utensils. This is all finger food. Tickets cost about $43 with a $3 off coupon. The food is good. You can also order a vegetarian meal, if you wish.

The show has some comedy, dancing, and competition. There is also audience participation. Along with stamping, clapping, and rooting for your team (North or South), some audience members are chosen to go into the corral for a couple of competition games.

This show is lots of fun. Obviously I like this one as I've been several times. My friend liked this one, too.

The Dixie Stampede Christmas Show adds lots of Christmas costumes and special touches. I recommend it.
