Second year staying here, both times booked through VRBO. This year got an oceanfront effeciency with a huge balcony on 5th floor. You have to just see it to appreciate it , the balcony is really nice. We love this hotel. We used to stay at Landmark, which by far has the best pool set up I've seen yet, but their rooms have left alot to be desired. Caravelle on the other hand, has wonderful rooms in our experience. Not as many pools as Landmark, and these are on the side of the building, but they do have an awesome pool bar and grill, snack shop, gift shop, fitness room, laundry room and a great lawn with chairs that are oceanfront. They have oceanfront jacuzzi rooms that are 2 room suites and we have determined we must try one of these soon!!! Overall, very happy with the Caravelle, the area and the amenities. Will most likely stay here again for the price, it's the best we've been to.

The area that Caravelle is in I think is one of the nicest in Myrtle. Close to everything but kind of tucked away.

Very glad to see this good review. We are staying at the Caravelle Resort for the first time this year. Usually stay at the Monterey Bay Suites or Long Bay but we needed a bigger room. We love that area of the beach, quieter and much easier to get around in traffic.

Just make sure they do not try to put you
in the tower building with a side view as
that is a old old building.........Main Hotel
is where you want to be...... :nanner:

So glad I found this thread. This was our #1 choice. Glad to hear the praise.
