Heading to MB in a few weeks and staying at the Carolina Winds. This will be our first stay at this hotel. Has anyone stayed here in the past? If so, how was your stay?

We stayed at the Carolina Winds a couple of years ago and were pleased. Most of the units are individually owned and there is no uniformity in the furnishings. It's located in the northern residential part of Myrtle Beach which is much quieter and less congested than areas farther south. Has a huge swimming pool extending almost the whole block. We were in an angled side unit that had a great view of the ocean -- 10th floor I believe.

Thanks! We are in one of the angled units as well. I like the upper end for the very fact that it is less crowded than central but still close enough to get to everything with relative ease. Thanks again for the post.

My parents have a condo there and that's where we stay whenever we go down to MB. Our condo is in the "villas" building I think it's called - it's not attached to the main building, it's across the street. There are plenty of amenities to enjoy in the main building and it's pretty nice and quiet for the most part.

We've never stayed there, but a few years back when we were thinking of buying an investment/rental property in MB we looked at a unit there. It seemed very nice. The building itself and the pools, etc were all very clean and looked well-maintained.
(Also, it's #20 out of 236 hotels in MB on Tripadvisor, for whatever that's worth.)
Hope you enjoy your stay! Would love to hear a review after your trip :)

I've uploaded some photos we took at the Carolina Winds and surrounding neighborhood:
