We are 4 guys coming down to Myrtle Beach for 4 nights and 3 rounds of great scenic golf for pretty good golfers. We are all in our 30's and want to be on the ocean and close to the action (If that's possible) recieved a good quote for the Ocean Reef but obviously want more quotes. Does anyone have any good suggestions on where to stay? Where to play?
Thank you.

I would look at the Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday website. They have reviews on most of the courses, some include a video presentation. They also have information on accomodations. I would suggest picking your courses first and then where you want to stay to avoid a lot of driving. The courses are spread out over many miles so being close to at least a couple of the courses you play could save some time and money. They also have package information on the site also.

Oyster Bay, Tidewater,Glen Dornach, Pearl East,Rivers Edge and Tigers Eye.All very scenic but will cost as they are high end courses. They are all up north, mostly just over the border so choose your hotel accordingly.

If you will be golfing in NC, but want to stay in SC, I would advise to take a look at the Tilghman Resort - very large rooms, pretty good location, extremely clean.

They have golf packages available, and they have specials for 4 night or more.

I highly recommend Breakers Paradise Tower at 21st N in MB. It is on the ocean... provides many different room configurations... is in the center of the action....

We've stayed at Breaks for a few years before the paradise tower opening and every year since in the Paradise tower. Clean rooms and great service... a good breakfast... garage parking... centrally located so you can hit courses north/south/west easily... And Gloria, the golf director, has served us very well for many years....

You can walk to mant places to eat/drink... Bummz & SOHO are our favorites.... We'll be there in 3 weeks!

Wine has some good course recommendations... I suggest that you go high-end (why go there if you're not going to play the best!)... you can't miss with Caledonia, True Blue, Barefoot Love/Dye, Tidewater, Dunes, Heritage, Oyster Bay, The Cats (Leopard Chase especially), Legends Moorland, Kings North, Prestwick, Grande Dunes, and the list goes on!

Have a great time and let us all know how you make out!
