We haven't been down to NMB/Cherry Grove area in 2 years. We don't book any golf until we get there, but am curious for planning purposes. Have any courses closed recently towards the north-end, and into nearby NC?

I can't think of any closures, but then my mind is not as sharp as it once was, Colonial Charters is back, they dropped Palmetto Greens name.

Thanks for the info. I have not played Colonial or Crown Park (further inland on Rt 9). What do you think of those courses? We are decent but not great golfers, and not looking to spend a bunch of money (think Eagle Nest).

My favorite course up that way is Rivers Edge. Decent price and I consider it one of my top two or three I have played in the MB area.

In my opinion, there is no such thing as a bad course, to get out and play is the main thing. I have a number of friends who do nothing but complain about a course and or look for what could be better, instead of just enjoying the day, friends and the atmosphere.

There are some good rates advertised right now in the Sun News such as:

Eagle Nest valid thru 8/31 $33 Disc Card $35 Exc. March April Oct $45 (2014 Card)

The following expire 8/19

Crow Creek $49 Disc Card $37

Sandpiper Bay $48

Rivers Edge $59 Disc Card $60 exc. March April & Oct $75

The Pearl $45 Disc Card $49

Azalea Sands $35.95 Disc Card $35 exc. March April
Oct Nov $45
