You are right on the expensive part. What surprises me though is that summer play is actually not more affordable than what it is. Yes, it is a pretty big drop from prime time rates, but is still quite expensive compared to quality courses in my area. Even the "lower level" course want around $50 for a morning round in the summer. That's quite a bit of money to spend considering I can play much better courses here at home for around $40. I wouldn't mind to pay $60 or $70 for a pretty good course in Myrtle during the dog days of summer, but I wish that you could sneak some $30-$40 rounds in at some of the middle tier courses in the area.
