Heading down in August and would like to play a round, but I am looking for a course that is pretty much flat as I have bad knees (will see doctor about replacement when I get home).
I know I will have the cart... still, I would like to walk a little, but it is tough on hills and elevated greens and tees. So if anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Bruce pretty much all the courses are flat I don't think you'll have any problems no matter where you end up playing. I've played quite a few over our yearly trips and don't recall any that I've come across that I'd consider non-walkable or hilly for that matter. Have fun and keep it in the short grass. Best advice I ever got for golfing down in Myrtle was from this nice young lady at Caledonia, "All the alligators, snakes, and spiders you see are real. I wouldn't go near any of them." Words to live by if you ask me.

I would probably stay away from the links style courses like Legends then just because of their deep bunkers. Some places will have slightly elevated greens but I really cannot think of anything too bad. If memory serves, Possom Trot was really flat I do believe.

Thanks for the help, looks like I will be losing my golf balls at Possum Trot in a few weeks.

Yeah, Bruce. You're more than just a pretty face. How about a golf report? :clown:

Oh! A report! Ok, here goes...
I made a tee time for a Thursday afternoon, thinking there would be less people that time of day so I could go slower if need be, plus I hadn't played since last year.
The day before Possum Trot I ambled over to Cane Patch to hit a bucket of balls, kind of a warm up. Welp, I had made it through about a 1/3 of the bucket when I swung my four iron and on my follow through the top of my left knee went forward and the bottom of it stayed where it was, but I did keep my head down, which is really the most important thing. Kinda threw my knee out for a second. I'm pretty sure the ball went straight though, so maybe I found my swing!
I told the two young guys next to me they could have the rest of the balls, and strolled off using my seven iron as a support. I canceled the next day at Possum Trot and spent the day on the beach resting my knee and getting all the sympathy I could from my lovely wife.
I should have my new knee for next years vacation and I will make sure I post on that round.
Thanks for the helping me pick a course;
More than just a pretty face? I like that Patrish, I'm gonna steal that line!
Sure, but not pretty enough to have my picture taken! hahaha

Wow - Not the report I expected! Hope your new knee works for you! AND that you have better luck next year!

Here's an amazing observation: Brick NJ is pretty much at the "Shore" yet you travel 11 hours to the "Beach"..... Us too - Aside from Cape May, the "Shore" has lost it's appeal to us... We may try Stone Harbor or something like that but we plan on continuing our trips to the "Beach"...

Hope you recover well!

- Jeff

Ouch ! Sorry to hear about your knee... Not to fear, I have a few friends with "new knees" and they now play more/better golf than ever !

Hit 'em straight !
