Thanks guys for the information I'll definitely put it to good use. We're looking forward to coming back down for golf trip. I did speak to one gent who told me that we probably could get in a good deal of golf in February. Any opinions on that from you guys? I'd love to hear them. Are the courses in decent winter shape at that time and would you guys play then? Mind you we're from the North so cold to us isn't until it's in the 30's and once it's 50 and above that's shorts weather.

I'm from NW NJ and play year round provided there's no snow on the ground when we tee off... We've been known to play while it is snowing brushing the snow from the greens... With that frame of mind....

We used to do MB in Feb or March... You roll the dice on the weather and can get frost delays in Feb and early March.... Nights are cool but generally the golf is "okay". April is pricier but much more pleasant. All in all you *WILL* have fun in Feb/March and *WILL* enjoy playing and escaping the NE winter!

We chose to move our trip to October. We've found (knock on wood) that the weather is much better... the ocean is still swimmable... shorts and short sleeves are the dress... 10 times better that Feb! You need to look out for overseeding in October though....

Played Whispering Pines for the first time for many years and enjoyed it, the course was in good condition as the Mayor had had an event the previous day. You can see the new airport terminal from the finishing holes so would make an ideal finish for anyone wanting a game before they fly off. Not a long course 6245 yards from the white tees but it does have some interesting holes. It was $40 but there are vouchers in some of the voucher books that give $5 off.
