When we checked in at the Sheraton on Saturday Aug 23, 2014 they of course tried to get us to attend our "Owner's Update" meeting, (which we were going to say no to) but then I noticed that one of the gifts were four passes to Family Kingdom so we decided to do it after all.

We drove down there at 11AM and found out they open at 6PM. Whoops. LOL. Back to the condo to go to the water park. We went right at 6 since the boys are used to going to bed at 8:00. I told them we could stay late as long as they didn't get cranky. They LOVED it! Especially when it got dark and they were like the "big kids" (teens) hanging out and hopping on rides when it was dark.

LOL! Time passes more quickly every year as we get older. Enjoy them while you can! Glad you're having a great vacation!

We have so many home movies of our kids at Myrtle Beach. With AJ it was rides at the Pavilion, but with Sarah, it was the Family Kingdom! The sounds, smells (cotton candy, etc), and the lights at night are things we will cherish forever! So glad that your boys enjoyed it. Disney is great, but nothing like a seaside amusement park!

Some of not only my fondest beach memories, but also Ryan's were at the Pavilion. When I think of beach vacations growing up the Pavilion always comes to mind. My heart still sinks a little to see that empty field. So glad your boy's enjoyed Family Kingdom. Those are memories that no one can ever take away.

Christine, I'm so glad the boys enjoyed Family Kingdom. These are truly memories for their future.

When I was growing up, we used to vacation in FL. Every year. (My parents retired to FL as soon as my dad retired.) BUT...Dad insisted we spend a night or two in Myrtle Beach on the way home, so that I could go to the Pavilion. I enjoyed the FL vacations, but I couldn't wait to get to Myrtle Beach. Some of my fondest memories to this day are centered around the Pavilion and the fun I had with my parents.
