Myrtle Beach Message Board

Are there any hotels and campgrounds in MB that are close together, like within walking distance of each other? We are planning a family trip to the beach, but part of the family wants to stay in a hotel and the other at a campground.

It's possible to walk from Crown Reef Resort to Pirateland. It's approximately 2 miles.

Lakewood Campground is just next door to Myrtle Beach Resort.

Holiday Inn Sunspree in Surfside is close to Ocean Lakes Campground, but I don't know the miles exact distance.

Hopefully someone who stays at other campgrounds can give you more information.

Myrtle Beach Resort is located between Lakewood Campground and Ocean Lakes Campground. You could walk onto the beach and meet there.

As Patrish said, the Sunspree Resort is just south of Ocean Lakes, but you'd have to walk past all the rental units. The campsites at Ocean Lakes are on the north end next to the MB Resort.

That's another thought - someone could rent one of the beach houses at Ocean Lakes and the others could stay on a campsite.
