Ocean Blvd. was closed for the parade which featured Montel Willams as Grand Marshall. We could not have asked for a better day with sun and moderate temperatures.

Deanna, compared to other parades it looked like the attendance was way down. I looked at the news this am to see if there were any stats listed but didn't see anything,

Also, there were a lot of "gaps" between floats, marching bands and event cars. In parades past, if part of the parade groups get way behind, the ones in front slow down, entertain the audience, and wait for the next group to catch up. Not this one. We saw several people pack up their chairs, thinking the parade must be finished because you really couldn't see anyone else coming.

But all in all, it was a fun parade and a beautiful day to be at the beach.
