Our house fits into your sq. footage. Here are our last several bills from Santee Cooper.

However, Santee Cooper is for sale and we expect the rates to increase soon. :-(

Hope this helps!

10/18 $108.60
5/18 $61.70
6/18 $63.82
7/18 $105.19
8/18 $115.41
2/18 $73,90
12/17 $61.01

Hope this helps

As another point of reference, down in Charleston (served by SCEG) we pay $.135 per Killowatt hour for the first 800 KW, then $.15 above that.... for our similar size house (it's a townhouse), our summer bills averaged ~$175 and spring was around ~$100. This includes taxes/fees plus natural gas. The gas charge is ~$20-25 monthly.

We obviously use our AC a lot more than Patrish and Wally :nanner:

Wow ! That’s amazing how much less expensive it is in Myrtle Beach vs us up here in CT. Our electric bill during the winter is about $450.00 per month. And that includes running our pellet stove.
During the summer it can go as low as $300.00 per month.

All the more reason we’re looking to retire to our favorite place!
We were just looking to see what some of the cost will be.

Our water bill is about $350.00 every three months. It would be nice if that’s also less expensive in SC too.

Thank you for the info !

Cathy

If you go to carolinaliving.com you can get their free magazine which has a section on the cost of living in North and South Carolina.Myrtle Beach is one city they compare.
