Jellyfish invade Myrtle Beach coast; beach goers told to stay out of water

The National Weather Service in Wilmington, N.C., has issued a beach hazards statement in effect until 8 p.m.

They were certainly prevalent on Shore drive this past week. Saw literally hundreds on the shell island tour out of Georgetown on Friday. I can officially report that we found none here when we returned last night to the mountains of West Virginia. After a family vote, we decided that we would be willing to brave the jellies for another week if only we could have stayed...
