We have always stayed in MB or NMB over the course of the last 23 years. It seems that a lot of people stay more in MB/NMB. From what I gather, NMB has a much wider beach at high tide and a very small beach area in SS or GC. Is that true in ALL parts of the beach in that area. Are there really nice condos south? If so, who do you go through?

That is pretty much true. However, Myrtle Beach State park is a wider beach, and it is in Surfside. Hopefully someone more familiar with the Surfside and/or Garden City Beach will correct me if I'm wrong.

If a wide beach is important to you, you're better off in Myrtle Beach or North Myrtle Beach.
