Daylight Saving Time Ends
2:00 a.m., Sunday, November 1
Daylight Saving Time ends at 2:00 a.m. Sunday, November 1. Set your clocks back one hour (“fall back”) when you go to bed Saturday night, October 31. It’s also a good time to check and change the batteries in your smoke detectors!

We have friends in Indiana who live where the time does not change...due to the cows. Yes, really. Apparently a time change would affect the cows milking time. I wish we had more cows here. I hate this upcoming time change.

Interesting.... never knew Indiana's no-change was due to the cows. But..... don't they milk cows in a lot of other states ? (like Kentucky where my Aunt used to own a dairy farm.... I'll have to ask her about this timezone thing the next time we're together).

Seems like udder nonsense :chairfall:

We have Amish people in our area. They dont change the time either, and this is within 20 miles of us. When I used to make them doctors appointments they always asked what time to go by.

Quote Cathy:
"they dont change the time either..."

So I wonder if we, as a group of like-minded Myrtle Beach lovers and message board members, could pull this off.

The rest of the U.S. (except where the cows and Amish live) would set their clocks back an hour. But WE as a dedicated group would not do anything with our clocks. Looking at my clock, still on Daylight Savings Time, would improve my mind. It would get even better when bedtime approached. I would be reconciled with Ben Franklin. You know, "Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise." Of course, based on my sleeping habits this promises a life of being sick, poor and dumb. But Franklin would be proud of our group taking a stance against time change. I'd like to keep it up just to find out when the health, wealth and wisdom kick in, but eventually I'm afraid we would all have to cave and change our clocks.
