The wife and I have two kids that are old enough to leave alone. WE want to find a hotel that has great night life not just afternoon beach bars. We feel more comfortable when we can stay in the same hotel so we aren't that far away. We like to enjoy our vacation as much as we make sure our kids do. So a mommy daddy night out is awesome. Again something like a night club atmosphere.

Thanks for help

Sands Ocean Club. Lakeshore Drive. In between MB and NMB.
Outside bar (Ocean Annie's) during the day and also a nice night club bar indoors. Annie's closes at 10 and then action moves indoors.
Nice restaurant on site plus a River Street hamburger shop.

Few miles north. Ocean Drive. Main Street. Avista or Ashworth.
No bars at either place but short 1-2 block walk south to Main Street
Fat Harold's, Ducks and Spanish Galleon are in sight of both resorts.

Small amusement park sets up on Main during the summer plus an arcade. Couple beach shops and ice cream/hot dog stands. If kids are old enough let them have some free time while you guys sit at club.

Welcome to our message board!

What time of year will you be visiting our beach? Naturally, there will be more going on during the warmer months.

Due to all the activities and nightlife taking place from the north end to the south end it will be difficult to find a hotel that offers enough to make you feel you don't have to leave.

One of the largest venues for day time activities and night life is Broadway at the Beach ... tlife.aspx

You can google for beachfront hotels near Broadway at the Beach, or if you don't care whether or not you stay directly on the beach, there are two hotels on the Broadway at the Beach property - (Fairfield Inn Myrtle Beach Broadway and Hampton Inn Myrtle Beach-Broadway.)

Alan (Pop) made some good suggestions, and I'll also throw in the Boardwalk which is lined with activities both day and night.

The Boardwalk, things to do: ... boardwalk/

Hotels near the Boardwalk:;_ylt=A ... ozilla-001

Hope this helps!
