The only one that caught my eye was Villa Romana not winning for best Italian Restaurant. I mean honestly, I think most people are seriously ignorant and need a reality check.

LOL, Phroggy, I noticed that too. But I thought several winners were off-kilter, and I think it may be because a lot of people vote for what they think best because they haven't been to other restaurants/venues. For instance, best steak Angelo's. But did they try Ruth's Chris for comparison? Probably not. Everyone loves to scan through Best of the Beach, but frankly, I take all the "best ofs" with a grain of salt. For instance, every year I receive tons of e-mail from various would-be contenders asking me to vote for them.
