Petition at our condo building. Sounds like somebody is wanting to build a new pier at end of Sea Mountain Highway in Cherry Grove. For those who love the area it's a bad idea. That intersection is already busy plus it's less than half mile from Cherry Grove Pier.
If they need a new pier it should go at south end of NMB. How about dealing with leaders of Atlantic Beach. They have section of oceanfront with no development or traffic. Perfect location for a pier.
Will look for more info and see if there's an on-line petition.

Alan, have you seen this pier in the horseshoe area? Slow to load - go get a cup of coffee or a beer.

I agree Atlantic City would be a great place for that pier. Problem is, nobody is ever sure who the Mayor or elected officials are, so a contact might be difficult to find.

Did you ever talk to Elliott? If you talk to them again, please ask them what has happened to their web cam and see if you can find out if it is gone for good. (What? You thought you were on vacation and didn't have a honey-do list this week?) :clown:

The pier at horseshoe was for storm drain construction. It's gone. I think......Been down the beach twice so far and haven't seen it......Way this week's been going it could be there.......

I would love a pier in the southern end of North Myrtle. When I was little there was the Windy Hill pier and I always think of it as I am walking down by Beach Cove.
